Aspen... Me... Just Thoughts

In 1970, Aspen CO was almost taken over by hippies when Hunter S. Thompson ran close to becoming mayor of the town, who happened to be a huge advocate for drug use. But I do find it curious that though Aspen managed to hold together their economy and keep out the "low class" hippies, the town still has a socially accepted attitude towards booze and cannabis. So, did Aspen become a hippy town after all? In my experience not really, but the big name drugs are all here too like any city, so yea, Aspen's just a rich town. Eh, guess I'll just have to see what it's like in the summer.

Activities of all kinds exist both in winter and summer, and thanks to the economy, high paying jobs assist in the expensive living expenses. I wish I could share the experience I have each morning surfing down the moutain every morning on fresh tracks. But before taking off to my lift station, I am fortunate to see the beautiful sunrise is always hovering behind the fresh golden peaks awaiting me each morning. As far as future summer work is concerned, my boss is trying to get me into a great trail crew position with great pay and benifits. If all goes well, paying off college loans will finally begin really taking off.

So, what next? Am I gonna get married? Buy a house? Get a dog? Start a ministry? (In or out of that order?) I have no idea. All I do know is I still have a ton of college loans to pay off and I love playing piano. So... I figure I'll just do that... pay off loans and play piano. ;)

Any other options that come about I trust will be in God's hands. So, I'll let Him worry about that part I guess.

Thanks,

Ezra
